Frogg Cafe’s new record – inside scoop
Thursday, March 19th, 2009 by Frogg CafeFrogg Café is having a great time recording this new one and is getting towards the end of laying down all the tracks. This one is a beast to record compared to our last studio efforts. It’s going to be about 76 minutes of new music with more complex arrangements then we’ve ever tried to pull off before in several different progressive rock styles. Less than 40% of this album has ever been performed live! This one is with the original line-up of the band:
Nick Lieto – lead vox, trumpet, keys
Bill Ayasse – violin, mandolin, vox
Frank Camiola – guitar and chicken noises
James “sticks of fire” Guarnieri – drums and overall cuteness
Andrew Sussman – bass, cello, acoustic guitar
Plus an additional cast of thousands including John Lieto on trombone, Dennis Lippe (Foxy Moon Baby) on guitar, Steve Sussman (Andy’s dad) on clarinet, Vessela Stoyanova (Fluttr Effect and Goli) on marimba, and many more TBA.
Much more info to be announced very soon including track titles and descriptions of the tunes, as well as the title of the album and cover art which we are in the process of ironing even out as you read this. Also please check us out at Pandora Radio where we are now catalogued or at www.archive.org where we have posted our most recent in-studio jam titled The Revealing Science of Wad recorded this past November.
